Every filmmaker begins with a dream — a vision for a film that has emotional depth, cinematic beauty, and a story that resonates. However, translating that vision into reality often involves significant compromises, from technical limitations to financial constraints.

Those obstacles feel overwhelming when caught in the grind of independent filmmaking, trying to stretch every dollar (or pennies), every minute, and every resource to make something beautiful. Yet, this friction is often the inspiration from where art is born, as the limitations force one to think of different ways to find inventive solutions to problems.

We are tired of waiting to be able to create honest, uplifting, faith-based, spiritual, and moving stories that inspire us to be a light in this world and make a difference in bringing the world together and share them with the world. What about ... CROWDFUNDING?

Since 2010, Aria Pictures, Gerald Martin Davenport, Brendan Brooks, and Mark Hoffman have tried every thing other than go to Hollywood, Georgia, and other places where film producers live and spend the time trying to get into their offices to pitch their talents and ideas.

Worn out, beaten down, and ready to give up someone said “What about crowdfunding?” Will it work? What have other filmmakers been able to get? How much do you think we can get? You do know it will effect the kind of movie we can make?

The answers were not clear, definitive, or guaranteed, but that did not hinder their excitement and enthusiasm to share in the quest, to bring people along for the ride, and see who in their inner and outer circles cared enough to support them on a serious and life changing journey. Yes, We know. It is about time. Where were you in 2015?.
